Rohit Gupta builds Flowy, a private period and cycle tracker for iPhone, and writes the Flowy journal from published guidance by named medical bodies. He is not a clinician.
Rohit Gupta is the founder of Flowy, a period and cycle tracking app for iPhone built in Vienna. He designs and writes the product, the free calculators on this site, and the guides in the Flowy journal.
He is a software engineer, not a doctor, midwife, or nurse. Nothing he writes here is drawn from clinical practice or personal medical expertise. Every guide is assembled from public guidance published by organisations such as the NHS, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the U.S. Office on Women’s Health, the CDC, NICE, and the WHO, and each one lists the sources it was built from so you can read them yourself.
That approach shapes what the journal will and will not say. It explains what established guidance says, what a tracker can reasonably show you, and where an estimate stops being useful. It does not diagnose conditions, interpret your symptoms, confirm ovulation or pregnancy, or tell you when to stop or start a medicine. Those are conversations for a qualified healthcare professional, and most guides end by saying exactly when to have one.
The same reasoning drives the app. Flowy does not sell personal or health data or turn a cycle history into an advertising profile, keeps calculator inputs on your device, and ships export, reset, and delete controls. If something on this site is unclear, out of date, or wrong, writing to him is the fastest way to get it fixed.
