The calculation
How this estimate works
After an early loss, hCG falls and the pituitary resumes the hormone signalling that drives a cycle. Ovulation has been recorded from about two weeks afterwards, with a first period following roughly two weeks after that.
The tool turns the date of the loss into those two windows and the point by which hCG has usually cleared. Once a real period has arrived, that day becomes day one of an ordinary cycle and the ovulation calculator gives a much tighter estimate.

Leave room for real life
This page gives a published range rather than a prediction, because before a first period there is no cycle to count from. Treat the dates as the shape of a typical recovery, not a timetable your body agreed to.
Heavy bleeding, fever, severe pain, or bleeding that soaks through a pad an hour need urgent medical attention rather than a calculator. Surgical or medical management, later losses, and repeated losses all change the timeline.
Getting a date back is not the same as being ready for one. There is no schedule you are behind on.
